Cancellation & Refund Policy

The short version

  • Cancel anytime from your Profile page — no hoops.
  • New Pro subscribers get a 7-day money-back guarantee on their first payment.
  • After 7 days, Pro payments are non-refundable, but you keep access until the billing period ends.
  • The Free (BYOK) plan is always free — nothing to cancel.

1. Free Plan (BYOK)

The Free plan has no subscription fee. You pay only for the AI API calls made through your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, billed directly by those providers. There is nothing to cancel or refund on the Moneyball side. You may delete your account at any time.

2. Pro Plan — Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time:

  1. Go to Profile & settings in the app.
  2. Click "Manage subscription" or "Cancel plan".
  3. Confirm the cancellation.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have full Pro access until that date. No further charges will be made after cancellation.

You will receive a confirmation email when your cancellation is processed. If you do not receive one within a few minutes, contact us at hello@moneyball.me.

3. Pro Plan — Refunds

7-day money-back guarantee (first payment only)

If you are a new Pro subscriber and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your first Pro payment. This applies once per account.

To request a refund, email hello@moneyball.me with the subject "Refund request" and include your registered email address. We process eligible refunds within 5–10 business days.

Renewal payments

Monthly renewal payments are non-refundable. If you forget to cancel before renewal, we will consider a refund on a case-by-case basis if you contact us within 48 hours of the charge and have not used the service during that billing period.

Exceptional circumstances

We handle genuine edge cases with common sense. If you experience a technical problem that prevented you from using the service during a paid period, contact us and we will make it right.

4. Account Deletion

Deleting your account is different from cancelling a subscription. To delete your account and all associated data:

  1. Cancel your Pro subscription first (if applicable).
  2. Go to Profile & settings → Delete account.
  3. Confirm deletion.

Account deletion is permanent. Your data will be removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not automatically trigger a refund of any paid subscription fees.

5. Downgrades

If you switch from Pro to the Free (BYOK) plan mid-cycle, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No partial refund is issued for the unused portion of the month.

6. Service Discontinuation

In the unlikely event that we discontinue Moneyball, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice by email. We will issue pro-rata refunds for any unused paid period remaining at the time of discontinuation and will make your data available for export.
