Please read these Terms carefully before using Moneyball. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Moneyball.
1. About Moneyball
Moneyball is a personal finance tool that lets you upload bank statements, automatically categorise transactions using AI, and visualise your household spending. It is operated at moneyball.me.
Moneyball is a productivity tool. It is not a licensed financial adviser, investment manager, or credit provider. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials secure.
- One person, one account. You may not share your account with others.
- Businesses may use Moneyball, but accounts are individual and not transferable.
3. Plans & Pricing
Free Plan (BYOK)
The Free plan is available at no cost. You supply your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key; AI processing costs are charged directly to your API account. Moneyball does not charge you for AI usage on this plan.
Pro Plan
The Pro plan is billed at USD $20 / month (or the equivalent in your local currency at the time of billing). Pro includes Moneyball-hosted AI credits, priority support, and additional features as listed on the Pricing page.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Price changes
We may change pricing at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase takes effect on your account. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Moneyball to process financial data belonging to someone else without their explicit consent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any part of the service.
- Upload files containing malware, exploits, or illegal content.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to Moneyball.
- Use Moneyball for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to overwhelm the service with automated requests (no bots, crawlers, or bulk scripts).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without refund.
5. Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you upload to Moneyball. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the service to you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data to train AI models without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any data you submit (e.g., your own bank statements, not someone else's).
6. AI-Generated Content
Moneyball uses AI to categorise transactions and generate financial summaries. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually wrong. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated categorisations before relying on them. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output.
7. Intellectual Property
The Moneyball name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding or intellectual property.
8. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, push updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any losses caused by unavailability.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Moneyball is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moneyball's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Moneyball harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the Profile page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy).
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
If you are accessing Moneyball from another jurisdiction, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Moneyball after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
